OVERVIEW
Electrical engineering is an engineering discipline concerned with the study, design, and application of equipment, devices, and systems which use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is fundamental to modern society, encompassing everything from advanced computer systems and digital circuits to photonics and cutting-edge technologies like automated cars, robotics, medical equipment, and the next generation of mobile data transmission.

AIM OF THE PROGRAMME
The aim of this programme is to:- Preparation of students for a lifetime career in Electrical and Electronic
- Engineering by establishing a foundation for life-long learning and development
- Provision of a strong foundation in Engineering in general and Electrical and Electronic Engineering in particular
- Preparation of students for careers in the industry, government and various institutions

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The programme seeks to achieve the under-listed objectives:- Understand the principles and theories in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Address significant problems in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and deploy appropriate selection of tools and techniques, as well as a disciplined approach, in arriving at a solution of the problems
- Develop critical thinking and communication skills to address issues within and outside the engineering profession
- Recognize the important relationship between theory and practice through their exposure to the laboratory part of the course
- Appreciate the relevant professional, ethical and legal issues related to the work of an Electrical and Electronic Engineer
- Gain understanding of the global need to engage in continuous technological development

PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS
WASSCE/SSSCE
At least credits in the following core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science in addition to credits in THREE (3) of the following elective subjects: Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Applied Electricity, or Electronics.
‘A’ Level Applicants
- FIVE (5) credits at ‘O’ Level, including English, Additional Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry plus THREE (3) ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics Physics and Chemistry
- Applicants must also have a pass in General Paper
Mature Applicants
- Applicants must be at least 25 years and above and must show proof with a birth certificate obtained at least five (5) years prior to admission.
Foreign Applicants
International applicants from accredited/recognized institutions with equivalent qualifications will be considered for admission- Generally, International candidates must have at least credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and two (2) other relevant subjects.

IGCSE, GCSE O`level and A`level
- O'Level - Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects
- A'Level - Credits in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- International students whose first language is not English are required to have one of the following English language qualifications before they can register on the programme.. (not necessary, its implied)
- Foreign certificates should be submitted to the National Accreditation Board for the establishment of its equivalence
- IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.0 in any element)
- TOEFL paper-based 550 (no less than 4.0 in TWE)
- TOEFL IBT 79 (no less than 17 in any element)
Professional and Post-Diploma Applicants
Candidates in this category must possess:- A Diploma or Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalence in a relevant programme from a recognized institution (e.g. Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Material Engineering etc)
- Must pass an interview;
- Two years post qualification working experience;
