Programme Objectives

The programmes seek to achieve the under-listed objectives:

  1. Recognize essential facts, concepts, principles and theories relating to foundational Engineering practices
  2. Address a significant problem in selected Engineering programme and deploy an appropriate selection of tools and techniques, as well as a disciplined approach, in arriving at a solution of the problem
  3. Develop critical thinking and communication skills to address issues within and outside the engineering profession
  4. Understand the importance of practicing as professionals and having the breadth and depth of knowledge expected of a practicing engineer
  5. Recognize the important relationship between theory and practice through their exposure to the laboratory part of the course
  6. Appreciate the relevant professional, ethical and legal issues related to the work of a selected engineering

 

Providing practical expertise is at the heart of the faculty. In making this possible, the faculty has collaborated and partnered with various institutions Kasapreko company limited. Ghana gas company limited, Ghana Armed Forces, Bogosu mines among a few others to offer students the needed competency-based training in various engineering fields.

The faculty is set to introduce exciting new programmes in the coming academic year, actuarial science. Applied Mathematics and statistics, blockchain engineering, drone engineering etc.
